More than 50 woodwind players from Radley College will take part in the Festival classes throughout the day, adjudicated by Chris Rawley. The top twelve woodwind players compete in the evening final for the coveted ‘Gunn Cup’ woodwind prize.
Bassoonist Chris Rawley has performed as Guest Principal Bassoon with many of the country’s finest ensembles including the English Baroque Soloists, Florilegium, The Hanover Band, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and The Vauxhall Band In addition to performing, he is passionate about music education. He is currently Head of Instrumental Studies for St Dunstan’s College, a bassoon tutor for the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain and delivers orchestral training sessions for the Cambridge University Music Society and Royal Holloway University.
